Will you turn up?

The question was raised in a survey, what is the number 1 fear for a couple booking a band? Answer: will the band turn up. We can tell you right now, we have NEVER failed to show for any gig, you’re in safe hands.

Do you bring your own equipment?

Yes, you needn’t worry about this. We have a full professional PA, mixing desk and lighting system. If your venue is particularly big, we may need to arrange additional equipment though for 99% of bookings we play, this is not required.

Do I need to worry about the volume?

You don’t, but your venue may. We’ve played lots of venues with noise restrictions and lots with none, we can be very loud or very quiet, but this is something we’ll handle directly with the venue and take it off your todo list.

Do you play ceilidh music?

We sure do, in fact we love nothing more than seeing a crowd flying around the dance floor to a Gay Gordons or Strip the Willow.

How does your ceilidh work?

We play the music and you dance it’s as simple as that, but seriously, our singer Heather is an experienced Ceilidh Caller ensuring your guests who are new to the dances are all well informed on what to do, the band play the music and off you go.

Can you provide DJ services?

Yes we can, our keyboard guy Gilbert has been DJing for longer than he cares to mention (25 years). So he knows what he’s doing and if you’d like to add on our DJ service, just ask when you’re requesting a quote.

How long does it take you to setup?

Setup and soundcheck takes us a maximum of one hour.

How long do you play for?

For most gigs, we would play from 8pm until midnight, with a 30 minute break. If you have any further requirements, again just let us know when you’re requesting a quotation and check out our pricing page

What do you wear?

We dress appropriately for your event, if it’s a wedding and everyone is smart then we’ll be smart. If you have any requests, please let us know (we once dressed up as characters from the back to the future movie for a wedding of that theme).

Do you need to provide the band with anything?

We’re pretty low maintenance and we want you to enjoy your day and not worry about us, we do appreciate the odd drink and a nibble here and there (soft drinks though, we’re working professionals).

How do we pay the deposit?

Deposits can be paid to us via the paypal button below, don’t worry, you don’t need a paypal account to use this service and it’s probably the most secure method of online payment that exists today.

Over the years, we've been asked a lot of questions like "what time do you start", "how long is your sound check" and "do you bring lights". To try and help answer some of the most common questions we get, we've listed our wedding band frequently asked questions below, as well as some general info about the band.

If there’s something specific you’d like to ask, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
